I found this fragile little crab shell washed up on the sand the other day.

I love how Mother Nature sends symbolic messages; I think she was trying to tell me to look at the beauty in what we outgrow and leave behind.

I see that in my clients as they shed roles (from married to divorced; from working to retired; from full time parenting to empty nesting), responsibilities, and old versions of themselves.

This work is not instant nor is it easy (believe me, I can attest!) but the work is honest and often times, painful.

You don’t have to throw things away all at once, in many cases, the work is simply recognizing what you no longer need to carry.
