In a world that often feels uncertain and overwhelming, hope can sometimes feel out of reach. Yet, during a recent Palm Sunday service, Barbara Hemphill was reminded of a message she heard years ago…one that has stayed with her ever since.
Her pastor once encouraged the congregation not to rush ahead to Easter Sunday without first walking through the days that lead up to it… Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the quiet, in-between moments. Because it is in those spaces that something meaningful happens.
That is where hope is built.
Not in perfection.
Not in certainty.
But in the waiting… the remembering… the trusting.
As she reflected during the service, she couldn’t help but think about the world today. There is so much noise, so much uncertainty, and often, it can be difficult to know who or what to trust.
But one truth remains steady.
God is trustworthy.
Even in the chaos, even in the unknown, His love does not change. And if there is ever a question about what He thinks of us, the answer is already written, clearly and consistently, in His Word.
We are loved.
Deeply. Completely. Always.
Easter is a powerful reminder of that love. It is not just a celebration,it is a promise. A promise that hope is real, that light overcomes darkness, and that love has the final word.
Rather than rushing ahead, she encourages us to walk through this Holy Week with intention.
To pause. To reflect. To remember.
Because Easter is coming.
And with it, HOPE.
God loves you… and so do we.🩵💜
