Inspired by James 1:5 and a Core Principle of Productive Environment Institute
āIf you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.ā ā James 1:5 (NLT)
As we celebrate Easter and reflect on the Lenten season, Barbara Hemphill has been spending time thinking deeply about the generosity of God. Itās something we can easily take for granted in the busyness of life ā but when we truly pause and consider the magnitude of what He gave ā His only Son ā itās humbling beyond words. That sacrifice wasnāt just an act of love⦠it was the ultimate act of generosity.
And yet, that same generous spirit is available to us every single day. James 1:5 reminds us that if we need wisdom, we only need to ask.
Not beg. Not bargain. Just ask.
At the Productive Environment Institute, weāve built our work around practical, life-giving principles ā and one that stands out especially during this season is this:
š āAsking for help is wisdom, not weakness.ā
For many of us, asking for help doesnāt come naturally. We hesitate, worried weāll be a burden or that we might offend someone. In Barbaraās experience, women especially seem to carry this weight ā feeling like we need to do it all on our own.
But what if the solution to your struggle, the clarity you need, or the relief you've been praying for⦠is just one simple ask away?
This Easter, let Godās generosity be your reminder:
You donāt have to go it alone.
Youāre not meant to.
Whether itās seeking divine wisdom or reaching out to someone in your life ā asking is a strength. It's a step toward growth, connection, and peace.
š So, let me ask you this:
Whatās one challenge youāre facing right now that someone else could help you solve⦠if you would only ask?
