The CPES Training was one of the most beneficial training programs I have ever taken. I learned so much new information that solidified what I already knew about organizing. My greatest take away (which is hard to pinpoint just one) was probably the Productive Environment Scorecard. That is the beginning of everything, a great technique to get you in the door. When I become a productivity consultant, I learned quickly about the challenges of making my business stand out and that although I thrived on the experience and growth of being a solopreneur, I knew that none of us are meant to go through life--or business on our own.
Early in my consulting career, I learned about the Productive Environement Institute, Barbara Hemphill and her significant contribution to the productivity and organizing industry. The CPES training program was well worth the investment of my time and money. The training classes are well structured, and the training site is so easy to use with everything you need in one place. While it is good to be on the training calls live, they are all recorded, so you can go through them on your own schedule and pace. I didn't just come away with the knowledge of Barbara Hemphill's Productive Environment Solution (TM), but also with, "what to do", "how to do it", "when to do it", "who to do it with", and "the tools to do it". The program provides you with the same tools, services and workshops that Barbara uses, which we all know as a thirty year veteran in the business, are proven to work. I was very skeptical about just how much "real" information I was going to get when I signed on for this training. (So much of what people are charging for these days is simple common sense.) BUT the Productive Environment Specialist Training is VALUE with a capital "V"! I was blown away by the fact that my "tuition" not only covered 10 weeks of "class time", but ALL the tools we were being told about as well -- without additional charge (and always the "deluxe model" not just the basic). In addition to all of that, the support and encouragement and camaraderie is something that just can't be bought. Barbara, Andrea and Nicole are the epitome of open-handedness with their expertise.

I met Barbara Hemphill at the NAPO National Convention in Minneapolis in 2007. I was very impressed with her ideas and felt very drawn to the CPES training program, but it took me a year to commit to this training and I am so very glad that I did.
The CPES training with Barbara and Andrea reinforced so many of the organizing approaches I was already endorsing. I had a wonderfully successful 8-Hour Miracle™ last week and just wanted to thank you for the tools and systems so that I could make it happen! I worked with the sales manager of a medium sized business in Des Moines. We worked a full 8 hours, with lunch brought in and they also brought in a temp to help with labels, sorting, etc. We ended up clearing out 2 large file drawers of reference files. After informally asking her the "Art of Wastebasketry®" questions, she decided she really didn't need much of it! Everything just went so smoothly and we had fun at the same time. At the end, she told her husband (manager of the business) that I was worth every penny, said she never thought we'd get through as much as we did, and gave me a big hug when I left. The temp was also impressed with the process and offered suggestions for several other businesses she had worked for that she thought could be helped by my services.
They are also interested in a Productive Environment Day™ for the entire sales floor, but need to get home office approval for the cost. In the meantime, they asked me to provide an estimate for a 2 hour email management presentation. All of this has really made me realize that there are great clients out there to work with and I really just need to find that "ideal" client. I've had successful 8-Hour Miracles™ in the past, but none that went this well. I would love it if I could do even just 1 of these every week. 2-3 would be even better!
