I've Found Freedom With My iPEP

VisionsPS

When I took my first vacation having my son, planning for the trip was a bigger undertaking than any other trip before.

Why? First, I needed to bring the truckload of things that I needed for my son and had to make sure I could remember it all. Then as a small business owner, I was a little nervous about being away and being "out of touch" with my clients and prospects. Finally, the clincher was that we decided to travel without laptops. GULP! (If you know my husband and I this was MAJOR. We never go anywhere without our electronics.)

So we packed ourselves up and we were all ready. Then on Mother's Day my husband and son presented me with an Amazon Kindle. Wow, just what I wanted. As I began playing with it the night before our trip, I realized, with my iPEP and my Kindle, I could free myself from worry.

I'll extol the virtues of the Kindle in another blog, but the two features that I love the most are:

1) uploading my personal documents, pdfs, etc. that I wanted to read on the trip.. (Talk about going Green and dropping weight from carrying paper copies!)

2) the Internet access available through the Kindle kept me connected to my iPEP and my website.

Freedom was mine

I have been using my iPEP as my virtual office. It's more than just a mirror of my physical files. I am freeing up hard drive space by uploading documents, files and images that I work with. I include links to pages and websites that I need, and voila, my office is on the road with me in the palm of my hand.

The pay off....

While enjoying my much needed vacation and watching my son enjoy his first foray into the ocean and pool, I was able to speak with a prospect, using my Kindle to access my talking points and notes in iPEP, make comments on his contact page in my iPEP and generally be as prepared as if I were in front of my computer. This story could have played out equally as well with my smart phone, but the Kindle gave me ease of use...and no access charges!

This story would not have been the same if I didn't have the peace of mind that my iPEP gave me....access to all my information while freeing me from the weight of a laptop.

PS. Packing for the trip was a breeze with my iPEP.  Everytime I thought of something I needed for my son, I simply added it to the list for his Trip Packing needs. I had an automatic inventory of all the things he needed and I didn't have to worry about remembering everything.
